Advancing interdisciplinary airway science through student-led innovation.
The Link Between Sleep Apnea and Cardiovascular Disease
Emerging evidence continues to strengthen the bidirectional relationship between obstructive sleep apnea and cardiovascular morbidity. Recent multicenter trials suggest that CPAP adherence may significantly reduce incident atrial fibrillation in high-risk populations, challenging conventional treatment paradigms.
Our student research collective is currently reviewing the latest AHA guidelines and synthesizing findings across cardiology, pulmonology, and dental sleep medicine to produce an accessible clinical summary for early-career clinicians.
